Hailing from Squamish, B.C., Evolve Bikes is one of Canada’s newest brands, which we’re stoked to introduce you to. We strive to be different, not only in building bikes but in building lasting relationships with our customers. So, to get you familiar with our bikes and our team, we decided to pack up and head to Revelstoke for an epic weekend of riding slabs, loose rock, and loam... sweet, sweet loam.
From its location on the banks of the Columbia River, Revelstoke has multiple mountain ranges to use as our playground. Revelstoke also happens to be the world’s largest inland rainforest, which guarantees tacky dirt, big trees, and a magical backdrop filled with lush greenery. With so many incredible options to choose from, we decided on one of the more local zones, and boy was it ever good. Perfectly combining riding from Squamish and Pemberton, this zone was definitely a favorite for the weekend.
The first scorching hot day was spent riding sections multiple times while being documented by local photographer Danny LeBlanc. Danny has a keen eye for mountain adventure photography and perfectly captured us doing what we love most. Chris Ricci of Influx Productions was also on hand as our talented videographer (video release coming soon). This area proved to have all kinds of potential for the coming days.
Once riding was done, we were beyond lucky to have our home base at Valley Retreat, a B&B that really has it all. Sure the spacious bedrooms, stellar mountain views, hot tub and fully equipped garage may have had something to do with it, but the owner/host, Ryan provides an unforgettable experience. The guy does breakfast right and makes sure to have cold ones on hand after a big day in the mountains. What more could you ask for?
The stoke levels were high after wrapping up two full days of shooting. Not only because of the prime trail conditions and Revstoke hospitality but all the good that’s to come in the future of Evolve Bikes. With that being said, we’ve got our own showroom with demos coming to Squamish soon. Check out evolvebikes.ca for more info.
